A collection of technical and decorative achievements of glass-making art
Collection of Leningrad Decorative Glass Factory museum was given to Palace-museum of Elagin Island in 2000. The collection is a quintessence of technical and decorative achievements of soviet glass-making school and it represents works of all the factory masters, that have worked here from 1940 to 1990s. It numbers more than 8 000 exhibits.
The collection of the Museum of Decorative Glass is based on Leningrad Decorative Glass Factory collection, that was created in 1940.
The collection is situated in the central part and the two galleries of the Conservatory (Oranzhereiny) building, where you can now find the Museum of Decorative Glass.
