Memorial Museum of Isaak Brodskiy is located in the heart of St. Petersburg, in the house that was designed by Carl Rossi and Leon Benois
Isaak Brodskiy is a famous artist, a favorite student of Ilya Repin. He livedin this apartment for the last 15 years of his life, from 1924 to 1939. The museum was opened in 1949, where was a unique collection of Russian artists, collected by Isaak Brodskiy, also he presented his own works. Memorial objects have also been preserved: furniture, books, photos with autographs, the atmosphere of life of the era of the 1920s-1930s.
Temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists are held in the exhibition hall of the Museum.
On the second floor, in the Studio of the artist, in the hall with excellent acoustics, where in XIX century were held the evenings of the musical and literary salon of counts Vielgorsky, vocal and instrumental chamber concerts of classical music are currently being held.
