The original idea of the theatre belongs to the Honoured Artist Tatyana Arkadievna Savenkova
It was founded as a theatre-studio in the Pigment Club in the Nevsky district of Saint Petersburg in 1987. It was transformed into a cultural institution in 1991. Today the theatre's repertoire includes approximately 30 plays, which represent fariytales.
Staging and plays for many productions are written by Artistic Director of the theatre and Honoured Artist Tatiana Savenkova. The repertoire comprises fairytales in which good always triumphs over evil: "Twelve Months", "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", "Mowgli", "Geese - Swans".
