The Artists Attic Art Gallery has a long and eventful history.
Awareness of the need to create a democratic gallery, open to all artists, came to the founders of the future "Attic Artists in the last century, in 1997.
There was a lot of controversy and doubt in the viability of such an art project. And finally, in the winter of 2001, the idea of creating a gallery, which has no analogues in St. Petersburg, was finally formed.
But officially, the birthday of our art space can be called May 18, 2001, it was on this spring sunny day that the gallery opened its doors to visitors and artists in the attic of an old house on the Petrograd side.
