You will have an opportunity to enjoy an aria from the opera Turandot and other immortal works by Puccini on Octotber 28 at the Mikhaikovsky Castle within the framework of the festival «St. Petersburg Embankments».
Works by the brilliant Italian will be certainly performed by his compatriots together with Russian soloists.
The program «Puccini forever» will be presented by the outstanding master of the opera art, conductor and singer Giuseppe Sabbatini (Italy).
He established himself at the world stage in the late 1980s. As a friend and associate of Elena Obraztsova, he was invited to take part at her international vocal competition as a jury member.
Today Giuseppe is a recognized and favourite artist of the festival «St. Petersburg Palaces». All his concerts are marked with a high artistic breeding, a depth of understanding of music he performs.
Collaborated with Sir Georg Solti, Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti and other great conductors. His master classed are famous around the world.
With participation of the world’s leading opera soloists such as Gevorg Akopyan (baritone), Anna Markarova (soprano) and Migran Agadzhanian (tenor).

Migran Agadzhanian (tenor, Armenia) is a unique talent. He is a dramatic tenor or, as they say in Italy, «tenore spinto». Migran, a versatile musician, has been a conductor and Artistic Director of the St. Petersburg Youth Symphony Orchestra since he was 21 years old.

Anna Markarova (soprano) is a first-class soloist with vividly expressed individuality. She is Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, winner of several prizes. Soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre.

The evening is organized with the participation of the Taurida International Symphony Orchestra, the follower of the traditions of the cultural and artistic legacy of the orchestra and the choir of the Capella Taurida, founded by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the States – members of CIS for the 220th Anniversary of the Tavrichesky Palace and created in the image of the ensemble that had served Prince Grigory Potemkin. The orchestra consists of brilliant virtuoso musicians from Russia and foreign and neighboring countries, including USA, Finland, Costa Rica, Mongolia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and Kazakhstan. Most of them are students and graduates of the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire.
A refined program which includes orchestral excerpts and arias from the Puccini’s operas (La Bohème, Tosca, Madama Butterfly, Turandot and Manon Lescaut) performed by the Italian and Russian soloists will be presented at the Mikhailovsky Castle on October 28.
