Young Pioneer Palace opening

On February 12, 1937 the Anichkov palace was converted into the Young Pioneer Palace – a place for afterschool education

The Young Pioneer Palace, since 1990 known as the Palace of Youth Creativity, in one of the city's former imperial residences not only is the largest organisation for afterschool education in Saint Petersburg, but hosts festivals, contests, performances and academic conferences.
