Open-air concert of classic arts on account of St. Petersburg’s city day
On account of St. Petersburg’s city day the most popular and beloved classical compositions of Rossini, Verdi, Bize, Mozart, Puccini, Kalman will be performed. Some of them – by People’s artist of Russia Anna Netrebko. It is going to be her premiere open-air performance in St. Petersburg.
Also in the show on the scene in front of the Winter Palace are going to participate Yusif Eyvazov (tenor), Ildar Abdrazakov (bass voice), Olga Peretyatko (soprano), Oksana Shilova (soprano), Vasily Laduk (baritone), Agunda Kulaeva (mezzosoprano), Georgy Vasiliev (tenor) and others. All musical compositions will be performed by Symphony orchestra of Mikhailovsky Opera and Ballet theatre led by maestro Mikhail Tatarnikov.
Visitors will also see in the show «Classic arts on Palace square» youth chorus «Soglasie» led by Pavel Teplov, artists of Konstantin Tachkin ballet theatre, Leonid Yakobson St.Petersburg state academic ballet theatre and theatre company of carnival culture, masks, grotesque and buffoonery “Mr Pejo`s Wandering Dolls”.
Dance intrigue will consist of world choreographic art masterpieces performed by Berlin’s Staatsballett stars Dinu Tamazlâcaru and Iana Salenko.
Scene decoration is what traditionally attracts a lot of attention. Many unique design solutions such as huge golden chandelier with diameter of 2,5 meters which consists of 32 smaller chandeliers and 2500 crystal pendants, wide ladder beautified by gorgeous candelabrums will create an atmosphere of palace ball.
The performance will be easy to observe from any point of the Square due to installed massive video screens.
The event will take place on the initiative of St. Petersburg city Government and with support of St. Petersburg Committee for culture.
