This 218-room hotel is located on Vladimirsky Avenue, next to the well-known Vladimirsky Cathedral. It was constructed in the XVIII century in the Baroque style. The building is a bright example of the Northern Modern style, it regained its modern appearance in 1904, when it was partially reconstructed by the architect Alan Karl Voldemar Shulman. In 2003 the opening of a 4-star hotel took place. The hotel was named after F.M. Dostoyevsky, because it is situated near the places connected with the life and works of the famous Russian writer: not far from the hotel one can find a former flat of Dostoyevsky. Through the windows of the hotel one can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of Vladimirskaya Square and the historical part of the city.
