Zelenogorskiy park kultury i otdiha (Zelenogorsk park of Culture and Leisure)
The park is situated on the shore of the Gulf of Finland 50 km away to the North-West from St.Petersburg. In 1870 a railway connecting St.Petersburg and Finland was constructed thus making it possible for the citizens to come to Zelenogorsk. The town became a popular destination to spend the summertime. The representatives of Russian intelligenzia had chosen the Zelenogorskiy park as their meeting place. The amusement facilities included the Sailing society, a casino, a concert hall and a theater, now all of them are lost. These days the park houses sporting grounds, tennis courts, kart circuits, minigolf courses and dance floors. In the winter time people can experience ice-skating at the outdoor rink or take a kicksled or ski for rent.
