On 27 January 2018 Saint Petersburg city residents celebrate the 74 anniversary of complete liberation of Leningrad from the Siege.
When the siege of Leningrad tightened, the city had 2.8 million people, and up to 1.5 million people died during the Siege. 3% were killed by bombardment and artillery shelling, 97% were starved to death. The city was connected with the "Big Land" only by air and by means of the "Road of Life".
No matter how many years passed, residents keep in memory the heroic defeat of Leningraders.
